Oh and did I mention you can use your own custom soundtracks? The cops CB chatter is cool and greatly adds to the pursuit section of the game. Sound: I usually have my custom soundtracks cranked up so loud I dont always hear every sound in the game but, when I am listening, I feel completely immersed in the race. I'm sure the graphics are a bit dated now but they still look good none the less. Graphics: IMHO this game looks great, maybe not as good as Project Gotham racing (which came out around the same time) but fps is good with no slow down to speak of. racers are no creampuffs which is a good thing. The race tracks are varied and challenging and the games A.I. Fairly standard racing controls and gameplay with the exception of being able to take down would be speed demons as the cops in Hot Pursuit mode (which is always a blast)make this a game with a little something for everyone. Gameplay: Anyone who's played previous Need for Speed games or any racing games for that matter will feel right at home with this game. I'm not a huge racing fan by any means but I love occasionally running a race and listening to my own music, so this game is perfect for me.

A huge bonus for me is that you can customize your soundtracks and race to the music of your choice. This keeps the game challenging and gameplay never grows old. The main thing that keeps me coming back for more with this game is the fact that there are so many game modes and so many tracks and cars to unlock. I've had this game for a few years now and I still enjoy it.

  • Extract the File Archive to the game directory - Overwriting existing files.
  • Copy the following directories from the CD to the game directory:.
  • Replace the original NFSHP2.EXE file with the one from the File Archive.
  • Apply the official NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 v242 Patch.
    • Hot Pursuit 2 INI/GUI/GDC FILE EDITOR v1.0
  • ALL available trainers are for Single Player/Offline use ONLY! Don't try to use them online else your account can/will be banned/closed!.
  • If you have problems using a trainer in combination with Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10 then make sure to run the trainer with Administrator rights and when needed in Windows XP or Windows 98 compatibility mode!.
